The world of imaginary play meets science in our backyard habitat! Our
Natural science teacher has created a unique curriculum to incorporate
learning about our natural world. Through activities such as composting
with worms, planting vegetables, learning about insects, arachnids, hibernation,
and foods, the children learn about their place in our natural world.
They even create fairy homes out of dried gourds, to let their imaginations
bridge the gap between science and art! The children spend their time
in the habitat class busy… digging for worms, painting with vegetables,
and counting the legs on a spider are all things you might see happening
in our habitat classess!
